Funds Raised For Blind And Visually Impaired Community

ORLANDO – Lighthouse Central Florida recently held its annual Sight & Sole WalkFest to raise awareness and funding for critical services helping Central Floridians living with blindness or visual impairment. The event was attended by hundreds of community members, including 14 teams compromised of business and community leaders in the Greater Orlando area. The organization would like to thank the community and event sponsors for helping to surpass the fundraising goal. Through sponsorships, peer-to-peer fundraising, and in-kind donations, Lighthouse was able to raise $48,000 to help fund their critical vision rehabilitation programming. Top fundraisers include Jasmine Flores and the Maitland Rotary Club Team.

Lighthouse Central Florida provides education, independent living skills, job readiness training, and coaching to people living with vision impairment or blindness. The organization is the only accredited nonprofit provider of life-changing vision rehabilitation services in Central Florida.
