ORLANDO – During the week of April 24 through April 30, 2023, the Florida Department of Health in Orange County (DOH-Orange) recognizes National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) by promoting the benefits of immunizations for children from birth to two years old.
Each year, DOH-Orange takes the opportunity of National Infant Immunization Week to educate the community on how important it is for children to be vaccinated. It is a call to action for parents, caregivers, and health care providers to ensure that all children are protected from birth against serious childhood illnesses. On-time vaccination is critical to provide protection against potentially life-threatening diseases.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to contact their health care provider to schedule their child’s vaccinations. If you don’t have a health care provider, parents can contact the DOH-Orange Immunization Program to schedule an appointment at 407-723-5004 or visit the appointment link: https://fldohappt.cxmflow.com/Appointment/Index/dddb62c5-0451-4940-8411-525c0d0ac8bf.
