Evermore Orlando Resort Hires Master Sand Sculpture Artist

Professional sand sculptor Brian Wigelsworth to showcase his creations at Orlando’s first and only beach paradise resort

ORLANDO – Orlando’s first and only beach resort, Evermore Orlando Resort, has added a new position – Master Sand Sculpture Artist. Professional sand sculptor Brian Wigelsworth has been named to the role, where he will regularly construct his elaborate sand creations along the resort’s 20 acres of white-sand beaches, as well as teach classes in the craft to guests.

Wigelsworth is an accomplished sand sculptor artist who has been building sandcastles for 22 years and is one of only 300 certified Master Sand Sculpture Artists in the world.

His intricate sand art has included sculptures of John Lennon, Willie Nelson, B.B. King and a piece called “Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the Curtain,” which pays tribute to Robin Williams. Events and weddings at Evermore, including those at Conrad Orlando, can also request Wigelsworth to create sculptures for their special occasions. Group options include beach sculptures, tabletop centerpieces and even live sculpting during an event.

“Our guests are always in awe when they discover Brian’s art along our beach,” said Evermore Managing Director Fred Sawyers. “As part of the team, he’ll be able to continually surprise guests with seasonally themed creations throughout the year. It’s just one more way we’re enhancing the beach and vacation experience for our guests.”

Evermore Orlando Resort opened last year, bordering Walt Disney World. The resort is designed to meet the needs of families of all sizes, with accommodations ranging from 2-bedroom villas and 4-bedroom flats to 11-bedroom houses – all owned and managed as one resort and offering many of the services and conveniences of a hotel. The property is also home to the new Conrad Orlando luxury hotel. At the heart of it all is Evermore Bay, a crystal-clear lagoon featuring 20 acres of beaches and swimming areas with a wide array of activities, from paddle boarding and kayaking to a rope swing and family water slide – making the property Orlando’s first beach resort.
