This March, the Nu Eta Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. proudly partnered with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) to promote health and wellness at the annual Tour de Cure event. Known for bringing together cyclists, runners, and walkers to raise funds and awareness for diabetes, Tour de Cure is more than just a race—it’s a movement toward a healthier future.

Living up to their motto, “Service for Humanity,” the members of Nu Eta Eta were front and center at the ADA’s health tent, engaging with attendees and providing vital diabetes education. The tent became a lively space where community members could receive health screenings, learn about diabetes prevention and management, and take home essential resources for leading a healthier lifestyle.

Beyond education, the Nu Eta Eta Chapter made sure the day was filled with energy, excitement, and encouragement. Attendees participated in interactive activities, won fun prizes, and enjoyed engaging conversations with the dedicated volunteers. The chapter’s commitment to making health education both informative and enjoyable ensured that everyone—from children to adults—felt empowered to take charge of their well-being.

“We are honored to collaborate with the American Diabetes Association for such a meaningful cause,” said Rene Hamm, VP of Nu Eta Eta. “Tour de Cure is a powerful reminder that when we come together as a community, we can make a real difference in the fight against diabetes.”

The event was a resounding success, reinforcing Nu Eta Eta’s dedication to health advocacy and community service. By combining education with entertainment, the chapter continues to break down barriers to healthcare access and ensure that knowledge is shared in a way that resonates with the community.

As Nu Eta Eta moves forward with its mission, the chapter remains committed to serving, educating, and uplifting—one initiative at a time. With the success of this year’s Tour de Cure, they look forward to future partnerships and opportunities to impact lives through compassionate service.
