2024 Presidential Preference Primary Vote-By-Mail Ballots Mailouts And Sample Ballot Publication

LAKE COUNTY – Alan Hays, Lake County Supervisor of Elections announces the mailout of Vote-by-Mail (VBM) ballots for the March 19th Presidential Preference Primary. Mailouts began Friday, February 9th to more than 9400 voters. Mailouts will continue through March 9th.

Lake County voters are encouraged to use BallotTrax to track their VBM. Visit lakevotes.ballottrax.net to register or sign-in.

Voters may return their Vote-by-Mail ballots by one of three ways:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Lake County Supervisor of Elections office in Tavares.
  • During Early Voting, March 7th-16th, at any one of 12 Early Voting locations from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Visit lakevotes.gov/Voter-Information/Early-Voting for a location near you.
  • By mail. USPS suggests 5-7 days for delivery.

Vote-by-Mail ballots must be received by the Lake County Supervisor of Elections office by
7:00 p.m. on Election Day, March 19th.

SAMPLE BALLOT PUBLICATION: Sample Ballots for the Presidential Preference Primary are now available online at lakevotes.gov/Voting/Voter-Information. Using the Voter Information Lookup Form, voters can easily locate their Sample Ballot and an array of other individualized voter information.

Important Dates to Remember:

February 20th: Registration Books close for new voter registration and party affiliation changes.
March 7th: The last day to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot by mail.
March 7th-16th: Early Voting, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
March 19th: Presidential Preference Primary.
