ORANGE COUNTY – The Orange County Supervisor of Elections office has completed a full scan of all 613,491 votes cast in the 2024 General Election, scanning all 1,226,982 individual pieces of paper.
While state law requires an audit following an election, the office took the monumental step of auditing the entire election and scanning all the ballots cast.
The audit results showed an accuracy level of 99.999% for the entire election with all races remaining outside the 0.25% margin.
Following the PPP and City of Orlando District Five race, this is the third election of the year to undergo this extra process, and the office is once again showcasing exceptional accuracy.
“This achievement reflects the dedication and precision of our entire team, including the thousands of temporary elections workers who contributed to the largest election in county history,” said Supervisor of Elections Glen Gilzean. “By auditing every single ballot, we’re not just meeting the standard; we’re setting it. Voters can have absolute confidence that every vote is accurately counted, and every outcome truly represents the will of the people. This unwavering commitment to transparency and integrity strengthens the foundation of our democracy.”
The Orange County Supervisor of Elections audit is independent and electronic. All ballots that were tabulated are scanned into a separate, state-certified audit scanning system.
