Holiday Magic Returns With A New Parade Route And New Festival Location

KISSIMMEE – The City of Kissimmee invites residents and visitors to celebrate the season at the annual Festival of Lights on Saturday, December 14, 2024. This beloved holiday tradition will bring Downtown Kissimmee to life with festive displays, family-friendly activities, and a parade that lights up the night.

The evening starts with the Holiday Festival at Kissimmee City Hall (101 Church St) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., offering a variety of activities for all ages. Highlights include the KUA Kids Power Zone, featuring fun and engaging activities for children, and the Letters to Santa program, sponsored by AdventHealth. In this program, attendees can write their holiday wishes and send them directly to Santa at the North Pole. Other attractions include an ornament station, free photos with Santa, Mercy Foundation, face painting, live entertainment, and more festive fun for the whole family.

As the sun sets, the Festival of Lights Parade will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Historic Downtown Kissimmee. This year’s parade will take an exciting new route, traveling along Broadway, Sproule Street, Church Street, and Stewart Avenue. The display promises to be unforgettable, with vibrant floats, costumed characters, and festive music lighting up the streets.

“The Festival of Lights Parade has long been a cherished tradition in our City, and we’re excited to bring this magical celebration to the vibrant heart of Downtown Kissimmee,” said Jackie Espinosa, City Mayor. “It’s an opportunity for families to come together, share in the joy of the season, and create wonderful memories. We can’t wait to celebrate this festive time with everyone in our community.”
