SANFORD – Seminole State College of Florida awarded more than 2,000 degrees and certificates during the Fall 2024 Grad Walk Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the College’s Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. More than 1,700 Seminole State students completed credentials this fall.
Among the credentials awarded were more than 200 bachelor’s degrees in the high-demand fields of business, construction and interior design, education, healthcare, and technology, highlighting Seminole State’s commitment to produce workforce-ready graduates for Central Florida.
“This recognition of our students’ achievements is the highlight of our year,” said Seminole State President Dr. Georgia Lorenz. “Our Raiders are amazing, and we look forward to continuing our support for them as they ‘GO Far’ in their careers or continue their education.”
More than 1,000 graduates from Summer Term 2024 were also invited to participate in Grad Walk to be formally recognized for their accomplishment earlier in the year.
After crossing the stage with cheers from faculty and staff, the new Raider alumni and their families commemorated the celebration of their success with Seminole State-branded photo opportunities, including photos with the College’s mascot, Rally. The Seminole State alumni community is more than 130,000 Raiders strong.
