ORLANDO – This December, Central Florida’s most enchanting holiday event returns for one spectacular day! On December 7, 2024, Calvary Orlando will host “Christmas Is…2024,” a dazzling Broadway style holiday production set to captivate audiences with a single performance at 3 PM.
The festivities kick off with a vibrant Pre-Show Experience starting at 2 PM, featuring a delightful petting zoo, photo ops with Santa and his merry elves, costumed characters, and a variety of globally-inspired music. Food enthusiasts will enjoy an eclectic array of offerings from a curated selection of food trucks and speciality vendors, all available before the main event.
The masterminds behind this extraordinary production, Thurlow and Kathey Spurr, have a storied legacy of creating unforgettable live entertainment. With over 25,000 live shows and numerous television productions under their belt, the Spurrs promise a holiday extravaganza unlike any other. “We’re excited to turn Calvary Orlando into a festive wonderland, filled with joy for the entire family. Our aim is to deliver a magical experience that will be remembered long after the season ends,” says Kathey Spurr.
Acclaimed by industry leaders, this one-day-only event has been described as “the finest live show we’ve ever showcased,” thanks to its exceptional audience engagement and surprise elements, including early Christmas gifts.
The performance lineup includes the renowned Khristian Dentley of Take 6, virtuoso guitarist Walter Rodrigues, the dynamic dueling pianos of Jerry Nelson and Mark Payne, mesmerizing professional ballroom dancers, awe-inspiring aerialists, and the talented Thurlow Spurr Singers. The show will also spotlight young stars from Miss Kathey’s Academy for the Performing Arts, promising a unique and heartwarming performance.
