Archbishop Allen Wiggins Leads Invocation At Orlando’s Oath Of Office Ceremony

ORLANDO – Archbishop Allen Wiggins – senior pastor of The Hope Church and Hope Center West in Orlando – recently led Orlando’s oath of office ceremony invocation on Jan. 8, 2024. Bishop Wiggins opened the ceremony with a prayer for divine guidance and support for the elected officials, city staff and residents of Orlando.

The ceremony, held at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, marked the official swearing-in of Mayor Buddy Dyer, Commissioner Tony Ortiz (D2), Commissioner Patty Sheehan (D4) and Commissioner Bakari F. Burns (D6). Following the oaths and speeches, Archbishop Wiggins returned to the platform, encouraging the sworn-in officials to inspire faith, bring hope, and foster unity and peace through all that they do.

The Hope Church is a member of the Hope Center West Family, which seeks to create a healthy, sustainable and prosperous community in Orlando’s Historic Greater Washington Shores by providing residents with a place to live, work, learn, play and worship.
