KISSIMMEE – The City of Kissimmee has announced the selection of Ashley Willis as the new Public Works & Engineering Director.

“Public Works is made up of the Engineering, Streets/Stormwater, Traffic, Facilities, Fleet, and Sanitation Divisions… Truly, this Department is the backbone of our City,” said City Manager Mike Steigerwald. “Having managed many city projects in every division of Public Works, I know Willis is well qualified to spearhead the department and continue to deliver critical city services to our community.”

Willis is a seasoned engineer, with over 20 years of experience in the private sector working for various consultants. He has been serving the City of Kissimmee for about seven years and was formerly the Assistant Director of Public Works. Willis earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Auburn University.

Willis is looking forward to ensuring that the City of Kissimmee provides the highest level of service possible. “I would like to see Public Works build upon the things we do well and look for ways to enhance the services that we provide,” Willis added.
