Bethune-Cookman University Gears Up For Homecoming Week

Leaders Focused on Security, Transportation & Fun

DAYTONA BEACH – As Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU) prepares to welcome friends, family and alumni to campus for homecoming week, leaders are focused on safety and transportation to make sure everyone has fun.

Activities for the weeklong celebration began Monday, Oct. 9, and include concerts, step shows, a cookout, pep rally and parade all leading up to the football face-off with Texas Southern on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 3 p.m. Due to the anticipated traffic, B-CU has hired an outside agency to help provide transportation and security services.

“Safety is our top priority for anyone who comes to campus,” said Police Chief Gary Price of B-CU security. “And considering recent events, we have hired additional security for our ‘Wildcats Forever’ festivities.”

To help alleviate traffic congestion around Daytona Stadium, B-CU has partnered with Daytona Speedway to provide free parking and shuttle services on game day.
