ORLANDO – On October 28, 2023, Black Out The Vote event was held at the Dorie Miller Memorial Post 331 American Legion Department of Florida, 4325 Fairmont Street, Orlando Florida in a partnership with Change For The Community, Orange County Florida Voters League, Black Voters Matter, and All About the Ballots with DJ Willie C playing some good tunes. During the event, individuals canvassed the surrounding neighborhood and made phone calls to voters within the area to make them aware of the upcoming election. This is part of a grassroots effort to encourage and increase voter participation in the City of Orlando. Throughout this election process, an illuminated truck will be traveling throughout Districts 6 and 5 informing the community of the upcoming election for mayor and even member Commission Districts.
