Callahan Neighborhood Community Center, Jimmie “Drop D” Williams Presented The Shake It Off Health Expo October Fest

BY JIMMIE WILLIAMS

ORLANDO – Okay, Let me tell you who all was there. Let’s start with the entertainment. All the way from Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Andre A. Raysor. I heard one lady in the audience say, “he’s a show stopper.” Someone else said, “man he is bad,” and another person said, “he was amazing.” Mr. Andre Raysor reached out to me through social media. He said that he had been watching my wife and I give back in the community and he wanted to help us continue this great effort by donating his time and come to Orlando to perform. The first performance of the event was Mr. Alvin Bell, singing the National Anthem like no other. Mr. Bell is a sensational singer who kindly comes out and donates his time giving back to the community. Our new found friend and R&B singer, Mr. Bby Blikko of the beautiful City of Orlando. His father heard about what my wife and I do in the community and wanted his son to be part of something special. Then there is the hottest female gospel artist of all times, Ms. Mercy J. I called her and asked if she would take time out of her busy schedule and come bless us with her beautiful voice at this year’s event. Do you want to know what she said? I’ll tell you what she said. She said, “put me in coach.” I just started laughing so hard. Lol! Now you have to have the music and DJ Uncle Al did not let me down. They came ready to serve the people. From the very first song to the last artist the music was on point. My wife and I would like to acknowledge our community partners for “The Shake It Off Health Expo” starting with the City of Orlando, Commissioner Regina I. Hill of District 5, Callahan Neighborhood Community Center, Downtown Development Board, Florida Blue, Simply HealthCare, New Image Youth Center, Central Florida Black Nurses Association, CarePlus, Florida Health, Al’s Food Store, The Breakfast Corner, Windom Solutions, In The City, The Orlando Times newspaper, The Culture Outreach, A&M Pawn Shop, Stadium Style Cutz, Excel Healthcare, Embrace Health and 98.5 The Wire. To all that made this year’s “Shake It Off Health Expo” event successful, I want to say on behalf of the residents of Central Florida, we thank you for your commitment to help bring events like this to a safe environment. A special thanks goes out to Mr. Curtis Manning (City of Orlando).
