Christian Worship Center Walks For A Cure For Cancer

LEESBURG – The weather was good and Christian Worship Center’s (CWC) congregation, supporters and cancers survivors walked 3.26 miles to show their support for a cure and elimination of Cancer Saturday, October 15, 2022.

The Walk for Cancer attracted almost 100 participants, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and some Masonic brothers.  The walk started at Leesburg Recreation Center on Griffin Avenue at 8 am.

Thanks to all my supporters who walked with that for a cure for breast Cancer, a dreaded disease kills 42,000 women and 500 men in the United States each year, said Constance Christian, Co-Pastor of CWC. “Congratulations to all of our recognized survivors, including Ms. Sherri Rolle, Mrs. Betty Sherod, and Mr. Fred Rahming.

Cancer literature and bags were distributed, which were provided by Taitisia Givens and Lake Imaging.  The Kids of Distinction also played a role in the successful event.
