City’s New Website Is Live – Take A Tour

KISSIMMEE – The City of Kissimmee has officially launched its newly redesigned website, accessible at kissimmee.gov. This update is part of the city’s continued commitment to improving accessibility and communication with its community.

The new website features several improvements designed to streamline access to city services and information:

User-Friendly Navigation: An optimized layout intended to simplify access to City information, services, resources, departments, commission meetings, and events.

Mobile Compatibility: A responsive design that provides functionality across various devices, including smartphones and tablets.

Interactive Features: Improved online tools and interactive maps for accessing city projects, parks, and event locations.

Community Engagement: New public search and communication features include a “Report a Problem” portal and “What’s Around Me?” to report and learn what is happening around the City in your area.

City Manager Mike Steigerwald commented on the launch: “The new website represents a significant upgrade in how the City of Kissimmee delivers information and services to the public. The improvements are intended to facilitate engagement and more convenient access to city services and resources.”

At the top of the City of Kissimmee’s new website home page, users can quickly navigate key sections: My Government for city meetings, news, departments, budget, public records, and more; Services for reporting issues, online payments, and essential city services; Business and Development for permits, economic development, and city projects; and Parks, Recreation, and Events for information on parks locations, activities, events, and funding opportunities. And a Content Search option to find specific information throughout the site.

Aesthetically, the new website features a background photo of the Kissimmee Lakefront Park. A button in the top right corner allows the site text to be translated into Spanish. Scrolling down, users will find the “quick links” buttons followed by the featured articles.

The City of Kissimmee encourages residents, stakeholders, and businesses to explore the new website and utilize its updated features. Some adjustments will be made in the coming days to further enhance the user experience.
