Reflecting on Ten Years of Service and Commitment to Justice

ORLANDO – Tiffany Moore Russell has taken the oath of office, beginning another term as Orange County Clerk of Courts. Reflecting on her tenure, Clerk Russell expressed gratitude to the voters of Orange County for their continued trust and confidence in her leadership.

“To the voters of Orange County, I am deeply honored to stand before you once again as your Clerk of Court,” said Clerk Russell. “I am humbled by the trust you have placed in me to serve you. I take on this role with the same passion and dedication as I did the day I first took office in 2014, and I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the Clerk’s Office remains a pillar of justice in our community.”

As she enters this new term, Clerk Russell emphasized the responsibility of the Clerk’s Office to maintain efficiency, innovation, and the highest standards of integrity within the judicial system. “When I was first elected in 2014, I stood here with a vision—a vision for our community to have better access to justice. Over the past ten years, we have made significant strides toward that goal,” she said.

Among the key accomplishments under her leadership:

  • Opening the Self-Help Center:In 2015, the Clerk’s Office opened a Self-Help Center to provide affordable legal assistance to residents. The center has since served more than 15,000 people.
  • Creating Free Legal Forums:Russell established both in-person and virtual legal forums covering topics such as child support, evictions, and guardianship, making critical legal information accessible to the public.
  • Restoration of Rights Workshops:In partnership with local organizations, the Clerk’s Office has hosted workshops to help residents restore their rights, creating paths for reintegration into society.
  • Passport Assistance Events:Russell launched passport events to streamline the application process for residents, helping countless individuals obtain their passports.
  • Operation Green Light:In collaboration with collection agencies, Operation Green Light events have enabled thousands of drivers to establish payment plans to get their driving privileges restored.
  • Extended Office Hours:The Clerk’s Office expanded hours at its branches, now including Saturdays, to improve accessibility to clerk services for residents.

Clerk Russell expressed her commitment to further enhancing access to justice and efficiency within the Clerk’s Office. “I pledge to uphold transparency, fairness, and accountability in every decision, ensuring that everyone who interacts with the court system is treated with the respect and dignity they deserve,” she promised.

She also acknowledged the invaluable collaboration she has built with the judges, attorneys, court staff, and justice system partners. “I am grateful for the trust and collaboration we have built. I look forward to continuing this important work together,” Clerk Russell stated.

“As we embark on this next chapter, I will continue to seek ways to improve the accessibility and efficiency of our court system,” Clerk Russell said. “Together, I believe we can continue to build on the progress we’ve made, ensuring that our community remains a place of opportunity and fairness for all.”
