Crossman Career Builders Announces Winner Of Its 2023-2024 UCF Endowed Real Estate Scholarship

ORLANDO – Michael Washington II,  a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF), is the recipient of the university’s Crossman Career Builders Endowed Real Estate Scholarship for 2023-2024.

Michael’s educational journey began at Florida A&M University (FAMU), where he initially pursued his athletic passion as a track and field athlete. Later, he graduated from Valencia College with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Organizational Leadership.

Washington’s unique background in public service – from an EMT through Inspector, Investigator to Fire Marshall at numerous local fire departments – has equipped him with valuable skills for his current position as a multi- and single-tenant retail specialist at Marcus & Millichap.  His attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities and keen ability to assess and mitigate risks serve him well in representing buyers and sellers of investment properties.

Beyond his professional and educational commitments Michael is actively involved in nonprofit organizations dedicated to making a positive impact in the community: The NAACP’s Orange County branch, where he actively contributes to the advancement of social justice and equality; and Serving Out of Love, which improves the lives of those in need.

Crossman Career Builders has endowed 11 scholarships at seven universities. Scholarships focus on improving diversity and inclusion in the commercial real estate industry, according to CEO John Crossman CCIM, CRX.   “One of the best ways to improve and diversify the real estate marketplace is to encourage the participation of the best of the next generation,” says Crossman.
