LEESBURG – Pastors John and Co-Pastor Constance Christian received heartfelt love, admiration and respect from their Christian Worship Center’s (CWC) congregation at their Pastors’ Appreciation Celebration Sunday, October 13, 2024 at the Leesburg campus located at 1414 Main Street, Leesburg, Florida 34748.
CWC’s Pastors’ dedicated resourceful, compassionate, fruitful leadership to the church and the Leesburg community for 24 years was memorably recognized with old school and new school gospel music by youth and choirs, a Holy Ghost filled Word delivered with conviction by Rev. Xenobia Poitier-Anderson, prayer from daughter Czenobia, a spiritual nugget and a short message of inspiration by the honoree’s sons Jonvair and Joshua respectively, and a bestowment of gifts from CWC members and employees, friends, and supporters.
Commenting on the memorable event which honored the couples’ community achievements for providing newly constructed one family homes in Leesburg, school supplies for students at the beginning of every school year, community fun events for the community’s like Holy Night, Breast Cancer Walks, and other charitable events for the Leesburg community, Pastor John Christian said, “This year’s appreciation brought me so much joy to see our adult and children participating in worship, the loving support of our family and church filled my heart with joy.
“To reflect on 24 years of being pastor of Christian Worship Center COGIC and the many things God has allowed us to accomplished leaves me in a state of awe,” concluded Pastor Christian.
Co-Pastor Constance Christian said, “I am so glad that we obeyed the voice of the Lord 24 years ago because this year’s Pastor Appreciation was phenomenal!”
“The CWC members and friends were so loving and generous,” continued Co-Pastor Christian. “The highlight of the celebration was hearing the Word of God given by my aunt the Revered Dr. Xenobia Poitier-Anderson and my sons Jovier and Joshua Christian along with the beautiful prayer given by my daughter Czenboia Christian. It was a very blessed day all around and I’m looking forward to what God is going to do in year 2025.”
Evangelist Georgette said, “I enjoyed the Pastors’ Appreciation Celebration immensely .Our pastors are great compassionate leaders and they deserved everything that happened for them today.”
