Dr. Bahiyyah Maroon Joins Goodwill Industries Of Central Florida As New Vice President Of Mission Impact

ORLANDO – Goodwill Industries of Central Florida (GICF) recently welcomed Dr. Bahíyyah Maroon as its new Vice President of Mission Impact.

Dr. Maroon brings more than 15 years of experience overseeing programming and policies that have helped social enterprises achieve positive change. She earned a Master’s and Doctorate in Anthropology from the University of California Santa Cruz, and most recently worked at Polis Institute as Chief Executive Officer. She has consulted for the Department of Labor, the Department of Justice, Purpose Built Communities, Orange County Community and Family Services, the Town of Eatonville, Harvard University and Intel Corporation.

As one of Central Florida’s largest nonprofit organizations, GICF collects and sells donated merchandise, diverting more than 24 million pounds of clothing and household goods from landfills across Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia and Brevard counties.
