Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Committee Of Leesburg Hosts The Bethune-Cookman University Concert Chorale To Perform At Morrison United Methodist Church

LEESBURG – The Bethune Cookman University (BCU) Concert Chorale will perform their latest repertoire of songs, Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 4 pm at the Morrison United Methodist Church – 1005 West Main Street, Leesburg, Florida 34748.

This event is sponsored by The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Committee of Leesburg (MLKCC) Ecumenical Committee. The BCU Concert Chorale is composed of 60 students from all nationalities, studying various majors and has a reputation for quality performances of a variety of music. The selections include classical, gospel, and jazz music by African American composers.

“This is the first time the Ecumenical Committee will present a ticketed event which is the Committee’s hope that it would attract participation from Leesburg and surrounding communities.” stated Carolyn Samuel, Chairman of the MLKCC.

Pastor David Stauffer, member of the Ecumenical Committee, stated, “We look forward to an exciting and memorable evening of exceptional vocal entertainment by the well-known Bethune Cookman University Concert Chorale.”
