ORLANDO – Nujourney Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization empowering individuals and transforming communities through financial education and entrepreneurship. Founded by Caroline Dennis in 2021, NuJourney seeks to answer two poignant questions posed by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., “What are you doing for others?” and President John F. Kennedy, “If not now, when? If not us, who?”
At its core, NuJourney is dedicated to inspiring change, transforming communities, and rewriting the narrative. With a mission to bridge financial literacy gaps and cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets in underserved communities, the organization equips individuals with the tools to achieve economic independence and long-term success. By addressing systemic challenges and fostering resilience, NuJourney is rebranding financial education not as a personal responsibility but a community initiative.
Founder Caroline Dennis, asserts, “As a financial service executive, I have witnessed first-hand the impact of financial and entrepreneurial disparities in underserved communities. It not only became a passion with a purpose, it became my obligation to find ways to change the narrative and create financially healthy individuals and families who can build sustainable business in thriving communities.” NuJourney has developed a range of community centered impactful programs designed to educate, inspire, and elevate:
- E.C.K.O (Enriching Children through Knowledge & Opportunity in Partnerships with Universal Foundation Orlando Branch of Boys & Girls Clubs: Through collaboration, NuJourney provides financial literacy workshops, entrepreneurship training, and mentorship to young minds, fostering confidence and ambition.
- Jr. Boss Academy and Jr. Boss Spotlight: These initiatives identify and nurture young entrepreneurs, offering them resources, mentorship, and platforms to showcase their talents. The Jr. Boss Spotlight celebrates the achievements of these emerging leaders, inspiring their peers and communities.
- Connecting Faith and Financial Literacy: Recognizing the integral role of faith in many communities, this program combines spiritual principles with financial education, offering a holistic approach to personal and economic growth.
- Money Moves Investment Academy: This program provides participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills in investing, helping them build wealth and secure financial independence through informed decision-making.
- Money Matters: A free virtual financial literacy course offered monthly through Zoom, Money Matters ensures that financial education is accessible to all, equipping individuals with essential money management skills in a convenient and engaging format.
Through these initiatives, NuJourney not only imparts knowledge but also instills a sense of purpose and possibility, ensuring participants leave equipped to rewrite their own narratives.
