ORLANDO – Senator Randolph Bracy and his wife Kietta Mayweather Bracy have Executive produced the crime thriller “Ponder” that will be streamed on Tubi and other streaming platforms in late June 2024. The movie “PONDER” was written by Kietta Mayweather Bracy and Co Directed by Senator Bracy. Senator Bracy and his wife, Kietta will be hosting a red carpet premiere for the movie “Ponder” on Friday, June 14th, 2024 @ 6pm at the Garden Theatre in Winter Garden. There will be surprise celebrity guests and red carpet interviews at the premiere. Senator Bracy and his wife, Kietta Mayweather Bracy, will be filming the movie “Ocoee Massacre” next year, but will be hosting a brief informational meeting about the Ocoee Massacre movie at the premiere on June 14th at PONDER’s movie premiere. A more in depth meeting will take place in July 2024 where the community can ask questions and receive more detailed information about the Ocoee Massacre movie. Senator Bracy and his wife, Kietta has decided to include the Central Florida community in this movie project. They will be looking for local historians, actors, extras, etc.
In 2022, Senator Bracy allocated 1 million dollars for the making of the Ocoee Massacre movie into the state budget, but the project was vetoed by Governor Ron Desantis. Senator Bracy also was responsible for the Ocoee Massacre being taught in public schools across the state of Florida. Senator Bracy also passed a recurring appropriation for reparations, the 2nd time in the history of the United States that reparations have been paid to African-Americans. (Randolph Bracy Ocoee Scholarship program, the first was Rosewood).
