ORANGE COUNTY – September is National Library Card Sign-up Month and Orange County Library System joins the American Library Association and libraries across the country to remind everyone to “Get Carded!”
Since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year. During the month, the ALA and libraries work together in a national effort to ensure every child signs up for their own library card.
OCLS has been serving Orange County for 100 years and has so much to offer its customers. From borrowing books and DVDs, to getting your passport or help with homework, from learning new skills at the Melrose Center to attending a branch book club or storytime, your library card helps you do more of what you enjoy – without stretching your budget.
OCLS’s 2023 goal for National Library Card Sign-up Month is 5,500 new library card users. Visit ocls.info/card or visit any of the library’s 15 locations to “Get Carded” today!
