TAVARES – Alan Hays, Lake County Supervisor of Elections is hosting an Open House event at the Supervisor of Elections facility in Tavares on Saturday, April 13th from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Community members are invited to tour the facility and meet the staff of Florida Certified Election Professionals that administer Lake County Elections. The guided experience is approximately one hour in length and offers participants an insightful look into the people and processes behind election administration.
“The intent of the open house is to reduce misinformation by providing the facts first-hand to the public,” said Alan Hays, Supervisor of Elections. “We hope that this opportunity will demonstrate the transparency of our office and therefore further increase voter confidence in the administration of elections in Lake County,” commented Hays.
The Lake County Supervisor of Elections office is located at 1898 E. Burleigh Blvd., in Tavares. Those individuals interested in attending are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes.
