LEESBURG – The West Leesburg Community Development Corporation (WLCDC) was recognized by Leesburg H.S.’s basketball teams for their financial support at their home game Tuesday night, December 12, 2023.
LHS presented a plaque to WLCDC for their $250.00 sponsorship for Tuesday’s game. D’mani Nettles, LHS basketball coach and WLCDC member, said it was a good game with LHS winning all three games.
WLCDC President Fred Griffin said it was an enjoyable experience watching our local youth exhibit their basketball skills. It’s also the mission of WLCDC to support our schools and their students anyway we can whenever we can.
Upon receiving the plaque, President Griffin said, “On behalf of WLCDC members, I want to thank LHS for presenting this plaque to us. I am sure we feel this evening was very in enlightening and we are grateful that we able to sponsor our local high school.”
WLCDC members who attended the event were Yolanda Green, Fred Griffin, Linda Mobley, D’mani Nettles, and Leesburg City Commissioner Allison Berry.
