Mentees Complete Kappa League Program

LEESBURG – Over the last two years, the Leesburg Florida Alumni Chapter, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has been working with middle and high school youth in Lake and Sumter counties to establish a Kappa League Program. The Kappa League is a program designed to help young men grow and develop their leadership talents in every phase of their human endeavors.

The Kappa League program provides educational, occupational, and social mentorship to male students in grades 6th-12th. The primary goal of the program is to help young men achieve worthy goals for themselves and make constructive contributions to their community when they assume leadership roles.

The Leesburg Florida Alumni Chapter, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. partners with agencies for financial support to enable the members of the Kappa League mentorship program achieve in areas of academics, financial literacy, wellness, business, community affairs, and social occasions.

On May 13, 2023, ten Kappa Leaguers received their official Kappa League burgundy blazers and neckties after the successful completion of the 2022-2023 season.  This Kappa League mentorship program will resume “Training for Leadership” in August 2023.  If there are any parents interested in their child participating in this program, please contact Mr. Everette Abney or Mr. Darryl Robinson at 954-579-1587.
