Importantly, in Florida hurricanes, tornadoes, extreme heat, floods, and fires are becoming more frequent and intense. The 2024 hurricane season is predicted to be above average due to rising temperatures. Residents should and must be able to assist their families and communities during natural disasters. At this training you can learn how to provide essential shelter and support for your vulnerable community during an emergency. And in times of crisis a shelter can be a lifesaving beacon of hope for the community.
