NAACP Officers Honored

NAACP Officers Mary Maxwell and Reginald McGill

WINTER PARK – Orange County Branch NAACP had two of its officers included among the diverse and select group of those that U.S. Congressman Maxwell Frost recently honored during Black History Month.  The “Black History Month District Honoree Ceremony” was held at 6:00 p.m. on February 27, 2024 at the Winter Park Hannibal Square Heritage Center.  Amid the informative and entertaining celebration program Congressman Frost read the names of a  list of Black luminaries in Central Florida into the Congressional Record Memorializing them into history.  Among the names included were two NAACP Executive Committee members, Parliamentarian Mary Maxwell and Member-At-Large Reginald McGill.
