NAACP Presents Awards At Membership Luncheon

ORANGE COUNTY – Orange  County Branch NAACP held an informative and enjoyable noon time Membership and Awards Luncheon on September 28th at The Orlando Rosen Centre Hotel on International Drive. Mrs. Anita L. Barnes was the charismatic Mistress of Ceremony, and Rev. Dr. Lantz G. Mills, Sr. gave the opening Invocation.  The Dorie Miller Post 331 Color Guards posted the Colors preceding the presentation of the Branch Charter by Mr. Reginald McGill and Greetings from President Kran Riley.

Entertaining musical presentations were provided by skilled songster Mr. Alvin Bell.  Atty. Aramis Ayala introduced Duly Elected Hon. Monique Worrell 9th Judicial Circuit State Attorney who gave a riveting and informative keynote address.  The following awards were given to the selected recipients: Community Service to Mr. Robert B. Rene, Community Advocate Humanitarian to Ms. Macene Isom, Rising Star to Mr. Wendell Coates and a special presentation award by Dr. Tari Spear.  And in concluding the pleasurable program was the recognition of NAACP Life Members by Mrs. Mary Maxwell and a general membership appeal with closing remarks provided by Hon. Aramis Ayala, Former 9th Judicial Circuit State Attorney.
