ORLANDO – This one event you missed, but I didn’t. Lol! My heart goes out to the Simply Healthcare team for putting on this great event. I have to give 5 stars to Ms. Roben Dunnings and her team for going above and beyond the call of duty. November was National Adoption Month and in honor of foster care awareness, they had a packing party to provide support for foster care youth! It was 35-50 volunteers for an event on Thursday, Nov 10, 2022, with other organizations, community leaders and faith-based organizations that have a heart to serve. I’ve attached a few pics from a similar event they did in Orlando to give you an idea of the magnitude of the event. Events like this one can change a kid’s life forever just knowing that someone cares about them and willing to help them with things that life throws at you. Simply Healthcare is doing a fantastic job by make sure that the foster kids receive a toothbrush, teddy bear, book bag, a book and other important items. My wife, Diann Williams, and I, Jimmie Williams, have partnered with Ms. Roben Dunnings of Simply Healthcare for about 7 years hosting events like Back To School, Black History, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Family Day in the Park, Shake It Off Health Expo, Jamz at the Feed Store, Hurricane Awareness Block Party, Come And Get It Awards, Halloween Horror on Church Street and other overs the years. With Ms. Roben Dunnings and Simply Healthcare alone with other community partners we have helped and celebrated with thousands of residents in District 5 and District 6 here in beautiful city of Orlando, the vacation capital of the world. Simply Healthcare and Ms. Roben Dunnings are leading the way by example by taking care of the leaders of tomorrow, our kids. If I had to leave you with a word today, I would say to you join in with us and help us take care of our foster kids. Now get up, yes I’m talking to you. Lol!
