
ORANGE COUNTY – The Orange County Supervisor of Elections is proud to announce the official launch of the Orange County Voter Outreach Training & Education (O.C.V.O.T.E.) Grant Program.
Supervisor of Elections Glen Gilzean has allocated $1 million to the OCVOTE Grant Program to “Empower Voters, Enhance Access, and Encourage Civic Engagement.”
The money will be granted to 229 non-profit partners across Orange County to increase vote-by-mail requests, poll worker recruitment, Adopt-A-Precinct participation, and voter education.
“This program is a force-multiplier for our office as we partner with nonprofit groups to advance the mission of the elections office,” said Orange County Supervisor of Elections Glen Gilzean. “This groundbreaking voter education and outreach program will serve as the benchmark for Supervisors of Elections nationwide to follow.”
The grant awards range from $1,000 – $75,000 and fall into the following tiers:
- $75,000 Citron Award (Awarded to a total of four organizations)
- $25,000 Kumquat Award (Awarded to a total of 10 organizations)
- $10,000 Hamlin Award (Awarded to a total of 15 organizations)
- $2,000 Tangerine Award (Awarded to a total of 100 organizations)
- $1,000 Clementine Award (Awarded to a total of 100 organizations)
