Orlando Health Hospitals Ranked High Performing On A National Level In Six Medical Specialties By U.S. News & World Report

ORLANDO – U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice, has named Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center and Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital as 2024-2025 High Performing hospitals on a national level in six categories:

  1. Diabetes and Endocrinology (Nationally ranked #45)
  2. Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery (Nationally ranked #47)
  3. Gastroenterology & GI Surgery
  4. Geriatrics
  5. Pulmonology & Lung Surgery
  6. Urology

In the community hospitals classification, the three hospitals ranked high performing in 11 common adult procedure and conditions categories while Orlando Health South Lake Hospital and Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital ranked high performing in six and five categories respectively.

In the U.S. News & World Report 2024-2025 regional ranking of hospitals, Orlando Health ranked #6 in Florida and #2 in the Orlando Metro Area.

The U.S. News & World Report ratings are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures. Nearly 4,500 hospitals across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions were evaluated for this most recent award period. Evaluations measured a variety of factors including hospital survival rates, complication rates, patient experience and level of nursing care. High Performing ratings for medical specialties were awarded to hospitals providing care that is significantly better than the national average.
