Orlando International Airport Terminal C Recognized For Engineering Excellence

ORLANDO — Orlando International Airport’s (MCO) Terminal C continues to make positive impressions. In addition to providing a next-level travel experience, the innovative structure is maintaining a track record of garnering industry accolades. Most recently, MCO and design partner HNTB were recognized with the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Florida’s Engineering Excellence Grand Award and the Grand Conceptor awards for Terminal C.

The ACEC Florida Engineering Excellence Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the consulting engineering profession through a comprehensive evaluation of projects by a distinguished panel of experts in related fields.

This past Friday night, Terminal C was recognized as one of seven ACEC Florida Grand Award winners and was ultimately chosen for the overall top prize of ACEC Florida Grand Conceptor Award, chosen from among the seven Grand Award winners. The top recipients at the state level proceed to the national competition administered by the American Council of Engineering Companies. Terminal C has also been selected to receive a national “Top 24” ACEC Honor Award in the 2024 Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) competition nationally. The Honor Award is a prestigious national acknowledgement for exceptional engineering achievement.
