“Pick Your Card” This Library Card Sign-Up Month With OCLS

ORLANDO – September is Library Card Sign-up Month and Orange County Library System (OCLS) wants you to come “pick your card.”

A new, limited edition library card featuring original orange blossom artwork will be available for existing and new card holders, while supplies last at our 15 locations across Orange County. The artwork was inspired by Orange County’s long history in the citrus industry and customers can choose between the orange blossom card or our 100-Year Celebration design.

No matter which design, an OCLS library card allows access to our physical collection of books, movies and music available at 15 library locations or right to your door through free home delivery. If you prefer to use the library online, we offer access to our vast digital catalog of audio and e-books through Libby and Hoopla, online classes, homework help through Brainfuse, LinkedIn Learning for continuing education and career development, and Gale learning and research databases – all for free. Library locations throughout the county offer cultural experiences, technology classes, fiber arts instruction, language learning and makerspaces.

Library Card Sign-up Month began in 1987 to promote library resources right at the start of the school year. Whether you’re a student, a parent or anyone else, a library card is an invaluable resource.

Signing up for a library card has never been easier. If you are an adult resident of Orange County, just visit ocls.info/card for instant digital access or stop in at any of the library’s 15 locations with your identification. Accepted forms of identification include Florida Driver’s License, Florida State ID, Driver’s License or State ID from another state, U.S. Military ID, a passport, United States Permanent Resident card, Consulate Identification card, or Farmworker’s Association Membership card.
