KISSIMMEE – The City of Kissimmee Development Services will host an open house to showcase the new Development Services Center and its Rain Garden. The event will be held on October 15, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 101 Church Street, Kissimmee, FL 34741, and will include tours, snacks, drinks, and giveaways.
After nearly two years of design and construction, this 12,000-square-foot facility will open for business on Monday, October 8, enhancing the city’s capacity to serve the community by managing permits and inspections, planning processes, code enforcement, and community enhancement initiatives.
The Development Services Center and Rain Garden were funded entirely through fees collected from building permits and inspections, ensuring no taxpayer dollars were used. The design complements the City Hall, facilitating seamless integration and additional space for future growth in city departments.
Additionally, the center houses the City’s new Organizational Control Center, which will play a critical role in effective responses before, during, and after disasters, ensuring coordinated emergency management.
The City of Kissimmee encourages residents to attend this open house to explore the new facilities and learn more about the services available to the community.
