WINTER PARK – Richie Butler, Senior Pastor of St. Luke Community United Methodist Church and founder of Project Unity in Dallas, will join John Crossman for an inspiring conversation Saturday, April 22 at 1:05 p.m. on The Shepherd network.
In the wake of a 2016 Dallas tragedy, Butler founded Project Unity and hosted a forum that garnered national attention for the improvement of policing and race relations. The organization has been ongoing under his visionary leadership offering community building and diversity, equity and inclusion solutions through its “Together We” programs: Together We Heal, Together We Dine, Together We Learn, Together We Vaccinate, to name a few.
By sharing the experiences of widely accomplished leaders, Crossman aims to inspire others to lead and unite to solve similar challenges in their own communities. “I am so honored to host a conversation with Richie Butler, an amazing servant leader who has been ’building bridges’ in Dallas for years,” Crossman said.
The ’93 graduate of Southern Methodist University attended Harvard Divinity School where he minored in finance and urban planning. After years as a bi-vocational pastor and senior advisor at Prescott Group overseeing $1 billion in real estate investment activity, Butler changed his focus to revitalizing urban areas. He has received numerous awards and accolades for his leadership in diversity and social justice.
