Family Classic Movies: Ice Age

Ice Age, an animated comedy set in the Pleistocene Age, tells the story of three animals—Manny, a woolly mammoth; Sid, a ground sloth; and Diego, a saber-toothed cat—who find a human baby and try to reunite it with its tribe. The film also follows Scrat, a “saber-toothed squirrel” who is always looking for a place to hide his acorn. There will be an Ice Age stuffies drawing for the kids. Ritz BingOMG! – Mary Poppins

The Ritz has partnered with Dees Brother’s Brewery, across the street from the theater, to hold Ritz BingOMG! a monthly charity bingo event on the fourth Tuesday of each month. There are fun prizes to win, a 50/50 drawing, and of course great eats and drinks are available for purchase. We play 4 rounds of regular bingo and one 50/50 game. Tickets are $20 for 4 games (24 bingo cards that you can play as many cards as you like in each game, and $5 for 1 game of 50/50 bingo. Walk in, no reservation needed.
Ritz Theater Announces Mary Poppins Cast
Director Billy B Williamson, with Noel Marie and Theo Champagne, has chosen the cast of the Disney and Cameron Mackintosh musical Mary Poppins, which opens on October 6 for a 7-show run at the Ritz Theater in downtown Sanford. Mary Poppins will be played by Natalie Hightower with Kip LeBlanc as Bert, Carson Kreitner as George Banks, Alexa Villanueva as Winifred Banks, Callie Herren as Jane Banks and Parker Williams as Michael Banks both with understudy Lynnea Massaro, Cristina Sanchez as Mrs. Brill, and Tim Conyers as Robertson Ay along 47 supporting actors and actresses.
