Second Harvest Food Bank Celebrates 1,000th Nutrition Education Class Since 2023

ORANGE COUNTY – Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida recently recognized a significant milestone for a vital Health and Hunger program.

Since March 2023, experienced nutrition education coordinators across the food bank’s seven-county service area have been teaching neighbors how to incorporate more nutritious foods into their diet, adopt an active lifestyle, prevent chronic illnesses, manage a healthy weight and improve their quality of life. On September 13, Second Harvest celebrated its 1,000th nutrition education class, which is available for various age groups, such as youth-teens, families with children, adults and seniors.
