SANFORD – Seminole State College of Florida celebrated the success of more than 2,000 graduates during its Spring 2024 Commencement Tuesday, April 30, in Addition Financial Arena at University of Central Florida. The College awarded over 2,600 degrees and certificates this spring.

Eddy Moritan, president of Lift Orlando, delivered the keynote address in which he urged graduates to “BE the kind of person whose character embodies the qualities of a leader. Then, KNOW or seek to possess all the knowledge you need to lead and serve effectively…Lastly, you DO. You become capable of doing the tasks that will allow you to achieve your desired goal.”

Among the graduates were the first students representing Seminole State’s bachelor’s degrees in elementary education and exceptional student education. Several of these graduates already have job offers from Seminole County Public Schools.

As the ceremony concluded, graduates threw their caps in the air and cheered as Seminole State-branded beach balls also were thrown into the air, marking the occasion with celebration.
