Seminole State Welcomes Over 1,000 SCPS High School Seniors For Decision Day

SANFORD – More than 1,000 Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) class of 2024 seniors spent the day exploring all that Seminole State College of Florida has to offer during Decision Day on Friday, Nov. 10, at the College’s Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.

During this interactive event, the students attended a welcome session to learn about financial aid, scholarships and more, and participated in a program fair featuring nearly 40 of the College’s programs, student activities and intramural sports. Students interested in the College’s workforce programs also got a firsthand look at the hands-on training the programs offer by attending specialty tours of the Center for Public Safety, the Barbara Miller CFADA Automotive Training Center and building D, which houses the College’s construction trade programs.

Students enjoyed the full Seminole State experience, including photos with the College’s mascot, Rally the Raider, and took home swag bags full of College information and spirit gear. Students also had an opportunity to sign a Seminole State signature wall to celebrate the day.

Decision Day encourages SCPS seniors to make Seminole State their first-choice destination for continuing their education after high school so they can GO State. GO Far. Registration for Spring Term in underway. Classes begin Jan. 8, 2024. Learn more at seminolestate.edu/r2r.
