United Way Recognizes Fred And Dantrell Griffin As Entrepreneurial Power Couple

LAKE COUNTY – United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties recently celebrated Black History Month with the recognition of Dantrell and Fred Griffin, Jr. as Lake County’s entrepreneurial power couple, “who are Black History in the Making.”

United Way affirmed that “Black History Month is a time of learning, remembering, and celebrating Black community members who have made an impact.”

United Way official said, “We’re proud to recognize the Griffins and their impact on Lake County.”

The Griffins are very active in serving their community and their church. Fred is a volunteer on boards of many civic and community organizations, and public a private agencies, while being owners of various productive business  endeavors, including Touching Hearts Group Homes, Touching Heart’s Adult Day Training Program, DJ’s Beautique & Esthetics, Griffin and Griffin Transport Services, Fred Consulting and the Fred Griffin, Jr. Scholarship Foundation.

“Being recognized by United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties as a couple fills us with gratitude and a sense of belonging,” said Fred Griffin.  “It reaffirms the importance of love, support, and unity within our shared space, reminding us of the strength to continue to work hard and strive to better our community.”
