You Reap What You Sow

LEESBURG – Mr. Antone Tyndell, a father of 13 kids, has learned and operated in the truth of the scripture, “A man reaps what he sows.  The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.  Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:7 – 9.

Antone’s testimony is impactful. Despite the trials and tribulations he faces in life, he still depends on God for his survival and his coming through.  His crying out to God in the midst of major setbacks: foreclosure on his house, family issues, and lucrative opportunities to sell drugs, Antone faith never quavered. He always believed and trusted in God.

You never know when God has sent a blessing your way, said Antone, a greeter who’s well known and loved by the Christian Worship Center’s (CWC) congregation. Recently, he unexpectedly experienced the amazing grace of God at Sunday’s worship service.  John Christian, Senior Pastor of CWC, presented him with the keys to a nice Chevy Avalanche pick-up truck.

Of course, Antone’s immediate response: he cried. He lost his truck, his major means of income, some months ago. “Look at God!”

Today, Antone’s faith is the backbone of his existence.  And is probably the reason he has captured the attention of many youth and young adults, giving them the real deal about life and how they determine their destinies. His character touches their hearts. His testimony touches their minds.

“Listen,” Antone tells them.  “I’ve been where you’re at and where you’re going if you don’t make the right decision.”  Antone was raised in the church. He’s an active member at Christian Worship Center (CWC), where he has worshipped for more than 19 years. Antone credits Pastor John Christian and CWC for helping him see how putting God first in his life restored his faith in God.

“Antone is a very dependable CWC congregant,” said Pastor Christian. “He takes care of people, many times before he takes care of himself. I can’t tell you how many people he has helped when their car broke down.  But I can tell you that God has brought Antone out of a major setback about 20 years ago, and he’s been grateful for God’s grace and mercy ever since and he lives it.”

“I live to be obedient to God,” said Antone. His faith is summed up in this statement: “God I am jumping off a cliff.  God is going to kill me or save me.”  Antone is still here and he’s still obedient, listening to God’s quiet voice for direction and guidance.

God just blessed him with a much needed and deserved Chevy Avalanche Pick-up. But God!!
